Controlling My Habits

After a series of articles that we have read in English class it’s really come to my attention how bad my “social media habits” are. I realized after going 24 hours without being able to use any apps on my phone or computer that I don’t really have a problem. I think that if I were to go back in time to when I was 15, then I would have a problem. I could live without my phone now, I don’t have any addiction with social media. Although I have definitely seen many people that do. For instance I know a guy that was so into playing video games 24/7 that when he had to go use the bathroom he would rather go inside his room. As gross as that sounds it makes you realize to what extend people are willing to go with this addiction to social media. A lot of people have problems with watching too much television or being on the phone or computer too much. It’s to the point where there are rehab center for this. I think that we are living in a generation where we rely more on our phones than actually doing the work ourselves. I believe that there should be people making awareness towards this kind of problem. I honestly fear that one day instead of their being an actual professor in our classrooms there will be a robot or something. We should all have some sort of control over how much time we spent watching television. For instance there should be some kind of self-control. I honestly propose that we all cut our time from technology use. That just a start and then we can all continue from there.
